We usually stick with shortwave IR. Why? Because it punches through the glass fast. You can pick the voltage and wattage that works with your power grid. If you go for high-wattage in a short tube, you get an incredible amount of heat density. It’s powerful. But here’s the thing: you have to be careful. If you cram that much power into a tiny space without getting your airflow right, you’re asking for a burnout. Just make sure your cooling system can handle the extra heat hanging around the lamp housings.
