Electric Blow Heater: The Heat Source Built for PET Blowing
We built this electric blow heater to be the direct-fit heat source your PET blowing line has been waiting for. It’s all about delivering fast, rock-solid radiant heat for preform heating—because when it comes to your line, speed and steady temperature control are everything.
What’s Under the Hood
Here’s the technical heart of it: this heater runs at2500W on a 400V supply. That voltage choice is intentional—it lowers the current draw, which keeps your wiring cleaner and prevents voltage drop, even over longer runs. And the300mm tube length? It concentrates the heat into a tight zone. So you get the perfect preform heating window without having to redesign the whole station. The result is high heat density, which means one thing:fast warm-up, fast cool-downwhen the machine cycles.
Smart Materials, Solid Design
We chose a halogen-filled quartz tube because it holds its output steady, even as the element ages. That internal halogen cycle protects the filament, so the lamp stays strong far longer than standard infrared. Plus, the tube has a reflective coating that pushes more energy forward, so less heat is wasted toward the back of the housing. And theR7s connector? It’s a straightforward, industrial-grade termination that makes this a simple, drop-in replacement on many blow molding machines.
Why It Works for PET Blowing
In PET blowing, preforms need to hit the right surface temperature before stretching. This heater nails that, thanks to its rapid radiant heat and compact size. It’s a practical upgrade for existing lines—but there’s one thing to keep in mind. A 400V, 2500W tube puts out serious heat, so proper cooling is a must. Make sure your blower airflow and machine ventilation are up to spec, so nothing overheats on the job.
