Then, the glass stresses out and cracks. It&amp;rsquo;s frustrating, and it&amp;rsquo;s a waste of material.&#xA;The problem is usually that standard heating elements just can&amp;rsquo;t &amp;ldquo;reach&amp;rdquo; every angle. To fix this, we&amp;rsquo;ve started using infrared heating lamps held in place by SK15 ceramic holders.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;Why the ceramic matters&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Here is the thing: you can&amp;rsquo;t just use plastic or cheap composites for this. The heat in an annealing cycle is brutal. Plastic will just melt or burn out.&#xA;That’s why we stick with SK15 ceramic. It takes the heat without warping. This is a big deal because if a lamp shifts even a tiny bit, your focal point is gone. Suddenly, you&amp;rsquo;ve just created a brand new cold spot.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;Getting the coverage right&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;To actually hit those tight curves, you need a lot of heat coming from different directions. We do this by wiring shortwave IR lamps in a staggered layout, basically wrapping the heat &lt;a href=&#34;https://henruite.com&#34;&gt;around&lt;/a&gt; the piece.&#xA;The SK15 connectors keep the electrical contact solid, even when the temperature is jumping up and down.&#xA;You can tweak the wattage based on how thick your glass is. More wattage means more heat, but be careful. If you put the lamps too close to the glass, you&amp;rsquo;ll get &amp;ldquo;hot spots&amp;rdquo; that can ruin the piece. It&amp;rsquo;s all a balancing act between where the lamps sit and how fast your conveyor is moving.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;Making it work on your floor&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;If you&amp;rsquo;re still using old heating ribbons, swapping them for these SK15-mounted lamps is a breath of fresh air. They take up way less space and they react much faster. It&amp;rsquo;s a pretty easy swap for most old systems.&#xA;Just a &lt;a href=&#34;https://goldisgood.com&#34;&gt;quick&lt;/a&gt; heads-up: check your wiring. A full array of these lamps pulls a lot of current. You don&amp;rsquo;t want to be the person tripping the breakers right in the middle of a production run.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
