The heating elements are separate from the main power lines, so you aren’t messing with the ceiling junction box every time something goes wrong. The Trade-off Now, look—adding connectors means you have more contact points than you would with a direct solder. Some engineers worry about that. To keep things safe and prevent overheating, we use heavy-duty terminals that can handle high current without wearing down. It works great, but there is one catch: you have to make sure those contacts are seated tight. If they’re loose, you’ll get arcing. Just push it in until it clicks, and you’re gold. Dealing with the Grime Industrial shops aren’t clean. After five years, your heaters are going to be covered in dust and grease. With a modular setup, you can pull the element out for a quick cleaning or a check-up without having to dismantle the structural brackets holding the whole thing to the ceiling.
