We built them to hunt down the moisture hiding in your tiles and grout.
How it actually works
We use something called short-wave infrared. Now, that sounds fancy, but here is the simple version: unlike a space heater that just blows warm air around, infrared travels in a straight line. It doesn’t care about the air; it cares about the stuff it hits. When those waves hit your damp walls, they shake up the water molecules. It’s like giving the water a little jolt of energy, which makes it evaporate way faster than it would on its own. Think about it. Mold needs water to survive. If you can dry out those surfaces the second you finish your shower, you’re basically starving the mold before it even has a chance to start growing.
The tricky part (and how we fixed it)
Putting high-powered heat in a room full of steam and water is… well, a bit nerve-wracking. To keep things safe, we seal everything up tight. We use quartz envelopes and heavy-duty gaskets to make sure steam stays out of the electrical guts. It’s all built to hold up in a wet environment without any scares. But there is a catch. More than just heat
These lamps basically act as a helper for your exhaust fan. By warming up the walls and ceiling, the lamps push the moisture out of the porous surfaces and into the air.
