When you’re picking out infrared heaters for the bathroom, the instinct is usually to go for the most powerful one on the shelf. But honestly? That’s usually a mistake. It’s all about the balance. You want enough heat to stop that post-shower shiver, but not so much that you’re stepping into a sauna. If you go too big, you’re just throwing money away on your electric bill. Go too small, and you’re still standing there shivering while the heater struggles to keep up. Finding your sweet spot Think about the size of your room first. If you’ve got a tiny powder room—you know, the one just for guests—something in the 250W to 400W range is plenty. These rooms are small, so the heat hits you almost instantly.
