Here’s the thing: an IR lamp is basically a lightbulb that throws heat in every single direction. If you just leave it bare, half that energy is just warming up your machine’s chassis. Which is a total waste. We use high-purity aluminum reflectors to push that heat back where it actually belongs—onto your workpiece. It’s like using a mirror to concentrate sunlight. You get a much hotter surface temperature without having to crank up the wattage. We stick with aluminum instead of stainless steel because it’s just better at bouncing short-wave and medium-wave heat. It keeps the energy focused.
The trick to voltage and load

The trade-offs you should know about

You’ll want to double-check that your control system can handle the spikes that come with a 575V grid. And a quick tip: keep an eye on your cooling fans. If they aren’t designed for the heat buildup that those high-efficiency reflectors create, your filaments might burn out sooner than they should.
