The Power Behind the Process
Here’s the guts of the system: a high-density heating element. We’re talking 400V power driving a 2500W output, all packed into a 300mm tube. That setup delivers the intense heat flux you need to dry glass sealants in a hurry. And that 400V rating? It’s a smart choice for industrial lines. It keeps the current draw down over long distances, which cuts down on voltage drop and makes the wiring a lot simpler. Plus, the compact 300mm length means you can fit multiple units in a small space. So setting up a multi-zone heating array along your conveyor is a breeze.
The Heart of the Lamp
We use a halogen-filled quartz tube to generate shortwave infrared radiation. This spectrum gets right to work—it penetrates the sealant layer quickly, driving off solvents and kicking off the cure from the inside out. The tube itself is coated to handle thermal shock and resist chemical buildup, so it stays tough through the whole process. And for installation, it all connects with a standard R7s connector. It’s a secure, high-temperature rated connection that’s easy to wire up and stays rock-solid, even when the lamp cycles on and off non-stop.
Real-World Control on the Line
On a glass coating line, you don’t blast everything with heat at once. You zone it out. Each lamp is controlled independently, so you can ramp up the temperature in the initial zone, hold it steady in the middle, and then cool things down at the end. That kind of control puts you in the driver’s seat of the entire curing curve. Now, there’s one trade-off to keep in mind: heat density. A 2500W lamp at 400V throws off a lot of heat. So you need to make sure your machine’s cooling system is up to the task. When you’re planning your layout, that thermal load has to be part of the equation.
