The Trade-offs
Here’s the thing: adding all those safety seals and heavy-duty glass makes the unit a bit bulkier. Because of the protective housing, some of that direct heat gets blocked. You might find you need to bump up the wattage or tweak the angle of the lamp to get it feeling just right. Also, do yourself a favor and use high-temperature silicone cabling. Regular insulation can melt near the terminals, and that’s a headache nobody wants.
